The Dart X-1 Timepiece, created in collaboration with Praesidus Watch Co.
Inspired by the 1940’s race to break the sound barrier, the X-1 Timepiece honours both the British Miles M-52 and the American Bell X-1. Two pioneering aircraft that shaped the future of high-speed flight.
In 1947, Captain Chuck Yeager became the first to exceed MACH 1 in the Bell X-1. A breakthrough that changes aviation history forever.
The dial of the timepiece draws inspiration from the cockpit instrumentation of the Bell X-1, as well as the gauges used in WWII-era Supermarine Spitfires, capturing a defining moment in aerospace history. 2026 also marks the 90th Anniversary when the Spitfire first took to the skies in 1936.
The 32mm case diameter mirrors the specifications of the iconic A-11 service watch worn by servicemen throughout World War II.
Included with the Darte X-1 are two 16mm nylon NATO straps offered in black and orange.
Each watch is accompanied by a special limited edition, hand-drawn comic book which tells the story behind its inspiration. Hand numbered 1-100.
